• NPAC’s Executive Director hosted a webinar for US Association for the Study of Pain (USASP) on how to submit comments to the Federal Register 

• NPAC conducted meetings on Capitol Hill with the House and Senate Appropriations Committees related to the FY 2027 Appropriations for scientific research for pain.

• NPAC’s Executive Director participated in a Board Meeting for NIH PURPOSE program

• NPAC’s Executive Director attending the final meeting of the International Association for the Study of Pain’s Presidential Task Force on Animal Testing 

• NPAC’s Executive Director held webinars and comment writing sessions collaboratively with USASP on the Office of Management Budget’s proposed changes to how the government allocated federal funding

• NPAC submitted an organizational comment largely opposing the sweeping 400-plus page rule changing the uniform guidance on federal funding to prioritize political over peer review and scientific decision making, among other things
